Devon Satellite

We have now officially partnered with ICE Ilfracombe to deliver Connect Mentoring in Ilfracombe Academy, Devon.

In November Angie went there to train 8 potential mentors, 5 will be starting to mentor young people in January.

Save the Date

We have our next Quiz Night coming up! Please do pop it in your diaries and tell your friends – it is such a fun evening with brilliant questions, delicious desserts (provided by many local cafes and shops) and it helps raise crucial funds for the work we do.

Some Sad News

Ali, has worked for Life & Soul for over 13 years. During that time she has been part of a number of projects including, Unlimited in primary schools, PINK in the homeless hostel, Sex and Relationships Education in secondary schools and, of course, Connect Mentoring where she is our very own go-to expert on all things Solution-Focused! For 9 months in 2020, Ali also did an amazing job of leading the charity through the difficult early months of Covid.

More recently Ali has been working for another local charity, Imago Dei, as part of their prison ministry team. Her role there has been expanding and, sadly for us, she has had to make the decision to focus on just one role. We know she is a huge blessing to the women she works with in those prisons so, much as we mourn her leaving and will miss her greatly, we wish her all the very, very best as she follows God’s leading into this new ministry.

Mental Health Tip

Being a mental health charity, we wanted to share with you some great tips to help improve ones mental health, here’s one for today:

Before bed each night, why don’t you write down three things from your day that you’re grateful for. Take your time thinking through your day and rediscovering those moments of contentment/joy/fun/relaxation etc.
